Bullard set to see NU

The defensive side of the recruiting class for Nebraska is shoring up very nicely. One of the players that Nebraska has their eye on is Jonathan Bullard from Shelby (N.C.) Crest. Bullard is now set to see Nebraska on an official visit.

Another player is adding his name to the list to see Nebraska while they take on Ohio State. Jonathan Bullard from Shelby (N.C.) Crest says that he doesn't have a bye that weekend, but the starting time for the game will allow him to make it in.

"Yes sir," Bullard said. "I have it set up for October 8th. That is the Ohio State game weekend. I don't have a bye that week, but the game is late enough on Saturday that it will allow me to make it."

Bullard said that there are some things that he is looking forward to seeing while he is in Lincoln. Of course the game will be huge for the weekend, but he's hoping to get to know some of the people associated with the program a little better too.

"I am looking forward to just seeing the game, seeing the environment. I also want to get to know the coaches and some of the players better while I am there."

Crest H.S. is already back out on the field and things could be better for Bullard according to him. He says that he's excited to get back out on the field, but he's really trying to get back into the swing of things still.

"We are out practicing already. I am still trying to knock some of the rust off and get some of the kinks out, but I will get there. I really need to get better in my technique before the season gets here."

As a junior, Bullard was named Big South Conference's Defensive Player of the Year last year. Bullard finished the season with 107 tackles, including 25 tackles for loss and 16 sacks.
