Nebraska FS Waiting

Jake Galusha is a hard hitting free safety prospect from Millard North High School in Nebraska. Last season as a junior, he recorded 98 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 3 blocked punts. Galusha, 6-0 and 190 pounds, also started at running back. Millard North went 12-1 before and lost to Lincoln Southeast 7-6 in the state title game.

"That has really motivated us in the off-season," Galusha said. "We have worked hard everyday.

"As a safety, I think I defend the run and pass very well. I make quick reads, hit hard and have good fundamentals."

Right now, Galusha does not have any scholarship offers but Nebraska and Iowa are showing great interest with likely offers on the way.

"Nebraska is my favorite team. I have always thought and wanted to be a Husker. If Nebraska offered now, I would accept. But if other schools offered and then Nebraska did, I would consider all my options before making a decision. I also like Iowa, Kansas State, Colorado State, Wisconsin, and Ohio State. I am getting a ton of letters and keeping everyone in mind."

Galusha plans on camping at Nebraska and Iowa this summer. His uncle, Jack Galusha, played running back for Nebraska. Galusha carries a 3.9 grade point average and has already scored a 22 ACT. He bench presses and power cleans 300 pounds.
