Lincoln, NE - Tuesday's practice was the last time the media was given access to players before Fresno State.
Also talking for his weekly report was Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini, who feels his team will show major improvement this week.
"I think as a unit, you are going to say your biggest improvement will come between weeks one and weeks two," said Pelini. "If you are doing your job as a coach, you should be significantly better."
Today's practice featured the return of linebacker Will Compton. The linebacker left the UTC game early with an ankle injury. An MRI was negative and he's still day-to-day, but was able to practice today.
"I was going to lose my mind, knowing what I felt, to me I thought I was going to be done," said Compton. "When I found out it wasn't serious, I was so happy."
One player not back on the field was Alfonzo Dennard. The Nebraska senior cornerback appears like he will not be ready to play against Fresno State on Saturday.
More to come from Big Red Report later tonight.
