Chance for a Nebraska offer?

One of the burning questions for Nebraska fans is about in-state recruiting. The Huskers have only offered one, Sam Cotton, and he quickly committed. There might be a handful of other players that could pick up an offer including this standout for Omaha (Nebr.) Skutt.

Omaha (Nebr.) Skutt is off to an 0-2 start, but Matt Miller is doing everything that he can to right the ship on both sides of the ball. This past weekend he was in Lincoln to check out the Huskers in action.

"I was in Lincoln for the game," Miller said. "It was awesome. The coaches were great with me. They gave me a tour and everything.

"I had a good chance to sit down with the staff and they told me that I was in the running for an offer at either the tight end or defensive end spot."

Miller says that he doesn't prefer offense or defense because he can play both well. "I don't have a preference. I like playing both positions equally. I start on both sides of the ball for Skutt."

While Miller was in Lincoln he said that the way that the tight end was used in the offense. He was equally impressed with the play of the defense and in particular one of the starting defensive ends.

"I like how they use the tight end a lot. On defense I liked what I saw out of Cameron Meredith. I thought that he played his butt off."

Miller is holding onto one offer already and more could be on the way after he sends out some more film. Miller is looking to get out some film and take some more visits over the coming weeks to schools that have been recruiting him.

"I do have one offer. I have an offer from South Dakota. I am supposed send my first three game films to Iowa. When I was down at Iowa camp they talked scholarships with me. If they like my film they said that they would offer me.

"I have talked offers with North Dakota State too. I am actually going to Iowa State this coming weekend for a visit.

"I have an open invitation to com to all of Iowa's home games this season; Missouri and a couple of other places. I hope that Nebraska invites me back soon for another game."
