Change of plans

Nebraska had been sitting on three expected official visitors until last night. Taiwan Johnson from Manvel (Texas) is having a terrific senior year and was ready to get started taking some of the official visits that he wants to take his senior year by coming to Nebraska this weekend. Johnson isn't going to make it this weekend after all. Will he reschedule?

Taiwan Johnson, from Manvel (Texas), will have to watch the Nebraska game from the comfort of his home. In the past 24 hours he's had to cancel his plans to get up to Lincoln for his official visit.

"Um, no actually," Johnson said. "We had to cancel our visit for this weekend because my dad and my mom want to take the trip with me. They weren't going to be able to make it.

"We are going to reschedule the visit when it's going to work for all of us to make the trip. I spoke to the coaches and they said it was fine. They want my parents to come up. I had to cancel, but I will be visiting though."

Johnson admits that it was upsetting to him to miss this weekend at Nebraska. He knows though that it's best for him and possibly choosing Nebraska in the long run though for his family to see the school, see the area and meet the people in Lincoln.

"I was down about it, but it's all for the best. It's important for my parents to make that trip. I realized my parents wouldn't be able to come and they need to see the school that I am thinking about going to.

"They should see how it is and what it's like. I can't imagine sending my son off to school without ever seeing it, meeting anyone up there and just not really knowing what is going on."
