In his first year with the Highlanders, Young was a staple on offense – averaging second on the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game. McLennan went 26-5 in 2010-11, making it to the second round of the Region V junior college basketball tournament before being knocked out. Young also averaged 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists a game.
"It feels really good," said Young to Big Red Report. "I think it will help me on the floor this year not thinking about my recruitment."
Young last week said his visit was a strong showing.
"The visit was very good, it was the first time being in Nebraska. I went to the football game and the crowd was nuts.
"We just went out to eat, played in some open gym, went to the game, and after the game went to the downtown area and just hung out."
More to come on this big pickup for Nebraska later today.
