Rose talks about unofficial visit

Michael Rose has become an invaluable part of the 2012 recruiting class. Rose has been communicating with the other Nebraska commitments and recruits that Nebraska has been targeting. Last weekend he was with Jordan Diggs up in Lincoln. This weekend he brought a couple of other friends, but was close with the two official visitors that were in town.

Michael Rose hadn't stayed overnight in Lincoln following a game before last weekend and this weekend he's making it two in a row. He was wrapping up his visit and was heading out to spend some time with some of the players.

"Just got done eating," Rose said. "We are sticking around tonight. We are going to meet up with some of the freshman players. I have a couple of my buddies here in town with me."

Rose said that he was impressed with how the offense looked tonight in comparison to last week. The defense has fallen a little short when it comes to expectations, but Rose thinks that can be ironed out.

"It was cool. We came out and played a little better than last week. We have some work to do defensively. The defensive line as far as expectations is a little down. I think that there are a lot of guys out of position on the field."

There wasn't a particular thing that stood out to Rose this weekend that he didn't see last weekend or any other game before. Rose loved the visit this weekend, but he thinks he might be qualified to give the tours now.

"No, I am not saying it wasn't great. I have been here 10 or 11 times and this is my fifth or sixth game. I can basically give the tour. It was great.

"My buddies enjoyed it and thought it was fun. One is a Kansas fan and the other is a Missouri fan. I had to show them some actual football. Had to show them how it's supposed to be done."

Rose will have a couple of weeks off before coming back up to Nebraska; next time though it will be as an official visitor. "My next visit will be Ohio State and that will be my official visit."

Speaking of official visitors, Rose said that he was in touch with the two official visitors in town today. He thought that both were having a good trip and he said that both looked the part of DI players.

"I spoke to Tommy Armstrong and Alonzo Moore. I spoke to Alonzo more than Tommy. He told me it's between Nebraska and Mississippi State.

"They both looked the part of a DI player. Tommy looked like a big, strong quarterback. I know he knows what to do when he has the ball in his hands."
