Nebraska has had their opportunity to impress Cibolo (Texas) Steele quarterback this weekend on his official visit. Armstrong is preparing for a long trip home and is thinking about his decision. Armstrong was only going to make one trip and is down to Nebraska and Southern Miss. How did his visit to Nebraska go?
It was a very successful weekend for the Nebraska coaching staff on the field and also with recruiting. While they did not pick up a commitment from either of the official visitors they definitely cemented their spot on their boards.
Big Red Report already reported that Winnfield (La.) athlete, Alonzo Moore, was on his way back home and rated his trip to Lincoln as a "10". Tommy Armstrong had a similar rating.
"It was a 9.5," Armstrong said in a text. "I am going to the airport now and will be making my decision tomorrow."
Armstrong has been down to Nebraska and Southern Miss for some time. He has said that he would only visit Nebraska because he is from Mississippi and an official visit to Southern Miss wouldn't be necessary.
Armstrong followed it up that he wouldn't be doing any interviews today. "I am making my decision tomorrow so call me tomorrow. I won't be getting home until 10:30 or so tonight so it will be too late."
The Huskers have been rumored to be the leader in getting his services. The recruiting world will only need to wait 24 hours or so to find out for sure.
