Huskers set to host Cali. CB

Coming off of a bad showing up in Madison, Wisc. the Huskers return home for homecoming and will host a possible double-digit total of official visitors. One of the players that will be in for his official visit is Brandon Beaver. Beaver, from Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, says that he won't be traveling to Lincoln alone. Postponing his visit helped with his additional visitor.

It was a bit of a letdown when Brandon Beaver couldn't visit Nebraska earlier in the season. The Huskers are looking for help in the secondary and Beaver is one of the top targets that they are in on.

Beaver didn't cancel the visit to Nebraska without good cause. In fact, he didn't cancel it all together. He postponed it until this week. This week Beaver will finally make that trip with a key member of his family.

"I will be there this weekend for Ohio State," Beaver said. "I was going to get up there earlier, but it just wouldn't work out as well as this weekend would.

"I set that visit up earlier because I wanted to make this visit. Coming in for Ohio State weekend is a bigger game and my mom can make the trip with me."

Dominguez was out of the gate pretty slow this season, but things are going well now. Beaver says that he and his team are in their off week when he makes his trip to Nebraska and then conference play will begin.

"Our season started out slow, but we are getting it rolling. This will be our bye week and after this week we will start our conference play."

Beaver says that teams have to throw either his way or towards Alphonso Marsh. It's a pick your poison as an offense. Beaver is also making an impact on offense. "I have one interception, one touchdown catch and one touchdown pass."
