Stephen Green-Now With Four Offers

When the talented athlete from Pulaski Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas returned his questionnaire to us about six weeks ago, there were no offers listed. How things have changed.

"I now have four offers," Green told TheInsiderson Tuesday night. "I have written offers from Arkansas, Nebraska and North Carolina. I also have a verbal offer from Auburn."

Being part of a talent-laden team, Green was asked for team and individual goals in 2003.

"Obviously, with our squad, our goal is to win the state championship," he said. "As for individual goals, I would like to lead the state in both rushing and interceptions." (Note: Green gained almost 1,300 yards in total offense despite missing two games due to a severe bone bruise and playing hurt for much of the year.)

Stephen has asked about the positions he'll play for head coach Kevin Kelley this season.

"I'll play tailback, free safety and maybe a little at wide receiver," he said. "Colleges are mainly looking at me on the defensive side, either cornerback or free safety."

Green was asked about his summer camp schedule.

"I'm still sorting that out," he said. "I'm still looking at Nebraska, LSU, North Carolina, Auburn, Arkansas and maybe one of the schools up North, like Ohio State.

And what is going on right now?

"We're still in spring practice," Green continued. "We'll be in pads tomorrow (Wednesday), shorts on Thursday and then play our Spring Game on Friday."
