"I just got home," Rose said. "It was amazing. Looking at where they started from at the beginning of the year, having some problems, and slowly but surely getting better and better week by week.
"Nebraska was exposed at that point. Then the second half of the Ohio State game, a great game against Minnesota and then this game there was a progression. That is all you can ask for as a fan, player or a coach."
It was a pretty big weekend in Lincoln for official visitors. Rose said that every weekend is a good weekend to visit Nebraska, but you could tell that this was a big game and it was a dominating performance on the field.
"They all enjoyed it. The atmosphere is always great in Lincoln. You have the players and they have their sense of awareness, the fans are right there with them, and they understood it was a big game.
"Everyone was excited about how they played. I didn't expect it like that. They were dominating quite honest. That is all you could ask for when it comes to a big game like that."
There were a couple of surprises this week when it came to the visitors. One was Charles Jackson, a 2012 signee that has failed to qualify to this point, and another was an LSU commitment that made it into Lincoln this weekend.
"Derrick Raymond and I talked quite a bit. I didn't know that he was coming in. I wouldn't say that he was a very open quick at first, but I got him out of his shell a little bit.
"We talked about Nebraska, LSU and he said that he was really enjoying himself on the visit. I wish I could have stayed the night there with those recruits that were in. I got all of their numbers though and I will give him a call."
Rose saw a familiar face in Lincoln when another official visitor finally made it to the game. He said that this visitor didn't get to the game until around the start of the second quarter.
"I got a chance to hang out with Quanzell Lambert too. He didn't get in until late. I think that it was right around the start of the second quarter. I actually met Quanzell at a tournament down in Florida. He was one of the first guys I was talking to over Facebook.
"He's a solid guy and a solid player. That's a guy that I would like to play next to on the field. I have seen him play. He's a great MIKE linebacker. He's a great athlete and understands the position well."
There are some pretty important games coming up for Nebraska including one to Michigan. Rose says that getting a chance to go to the Big House would be a great trip. Overall, he is interested to see how Nebraska plays through this stretch.
"I wish that I could go. If I could get a ticket for that it would be pretty nice. I think that Nebraska should be able to handle Northwestern with the uncertainty of their quarterback. I am looking forward to this stretch of games."
