Huskers still in it for Valentine?

Nebraska is still light an interior defensive lineman commitment or two and one of the names that has been out there all year has been Vincent Valentine. Valentine, from Edwardsville (Ill.), finally has the season behind him and he is looking at making some trips. Which four schools is he eyeing for possible official visits?

"My season is over," Valentine said. "It was depressing. We drew a team that we had already played who is in our conference. Their team just got rolling and we couldn't stop their offense.

"I saw a lot of double and triple teams all season. I think that I finished the season with 26 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception."

One visit is close to being set up for Valentine and the other three are projected by Valentine. He doesn't have any dates yet that are completely solid, but the trip to Lincoln appears like it will be for the Iowa game.

"I am setting up some visits. I know that I will be visiting Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas and Nebraska. I am in the process of setting up the official to Nebraska for the day after Thanksgiving."

Nebraska and Tennessee were two of the schools that Valentine wanted to get out and see this summer on unofficial visits. He was unable to though, but he did get to see three schools that are close to home.

"I did get out this summer and take some unofficial visits. I wanted to take more, but I was able to get out and see Illinois, Northwestern and Notre Dame. I saw some schools that were within driving radius."
