"I am heading to Nebraska this weekend," Brown said. "I am flying out on Saturday morning and I will be there around noon. I know that I fly out on Sunday afternoon."
Brown says that he is looking forward to seeing the game day atmosphere and getting a chance to talk to the other people with the program. He is looking for a good fit when he takes his official visits.
"I am looking forward to seeing the atmosphere, getting a chance to interact with the other people in the program and see if the program is just a great fit for me.
"Every high school football players' dream is to go to college and play football. But the fit is the most important part; fitting in with everyone else and feeling like a second home."
The Nebraska offer is fairly new for Brown, but the attention is not. He's actually been receiving recruiting letters from Nebraska since his junior year.
"I haven't had the offer for very long. I got a letter from them one night, opened it up and there was an offer in there. It was great to get that offer.
"It's a big deal. I haven't gotten a lot of interest from teams outside the PAC 12 and Nebraska has been looking at me since my junior year. I have gotten a lot of letters from them."
The attention that Brown has received from Nebraska has basically been from the head coach. It was also the head coach that was by his high school a couple of weeks ago and he alluded to some good news coming possibly.
"All of the letters have been basically from Coach Bo Pelini. I met him earlier that week. I was told that there might be some good news coming my way and there it is."
Brown has been paying a lot of attention to the Huskers since he had been receiving the attention from them. He knows that Coach Pelini is considered a defensive genius and it means a lot to get his attention.
"I have been watching Nebraska and they have been a solid team over the past few years under Bo Pelini and it's just great to know that they think I am talented enough to play there."
