"We are on our way to the airport," Powell said. "We got into Lincoln around noon. We were behind the other visitors and hadn't eaten anything. So we went back up to eat lunch.
"We got down on the field like 30 minutes before the start of the game. We didn't miss anything. We had a chance to take everything in on the field."
Once Powell was able to get back down on the field he noticed the crowd intensity. He also said that there were a number of fans yelling his name during the tunnel walk.
"I liked the game time atmosphere. I thought the fans were great there. Through the tunnel walk the fans were high fiving me and knew who I was."
The Nebraska staff is looking at Powell for the offensive side of the football while some have talked about him on defense. "Nebraska is looking at me as a fullback. I think the offense that Nebraska runs is a good fit for me."
After the game there was some down time followed by some time with the host and other players and a team meal back up at the stadium.
"We went to the hotel and rested up after the game. I hung out with my host, Todd Peat, for a while. We did the team meal after the game up in the lounge."
Sunday was packed with things to do including getting some real face time with the coaches, seeing the facilities on a tour and also hanging out with some players.
"We went on a big tour and got a chance to talk to the coaches. We got a chance to hang out in the players' lounge and watched some T.V."
Powell came away very impressed with the weekend, but he wasn't willing to rate the trip. He said that if anything could have been better that Nebraska could have won the game.
"I am not going to rate it or anything. It was just a great trip and I really enjoyed it. Everything was good. I wish they could have walked out with a win."
