Nebraska Impresses Brown

The weekend group of visitors was solid for Nebraska hosting a top target on offense and also some very highly sought after defensive recruits. One of those defensive recruits, Thomas Brown, said that he didn't take his eyes off of the linebackers a lot. Nebraska likes him to play any of the three linebacker spots potentially. How did he like the visit?

Thomas Brown from Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra came away impressed with the entire official visit to Nebraska this weekend. One of the things that he was the most impressed with was the tunnel walk.

"I got in on Saturday morning," Brown said. "I really liked the game day atmosphere in the stadium. It was a very good game experience. I liked walking into the stadium.

Brown left Lincoln all smiles
"The tunnel walk was very good. People were calling out our names, giving us high fives and they were telling us to come to Nebraska. It was crazy."

Nebraska didn't walk away with a win, but the linebackers played a solid game on Saturday. Brown said that he watched the linebackers the whole game and said he could see himself playing at Nebraska.

"I watched Lavonte David the whole game. He was in on just about every stop. I also watched Will Compton and I thought that he played a good game.

"I think that Nebraska was a great fit for me. I thought that I could come in and related better to David playing downhill, playing fast and flying to the football."

After the game on Saturday Brown said that he was able to finally get some time with the players and the other recruits. They all went to dinner together right after the game.

"I got a chance hang out with some of the players after the game and also some of the other recruits. We also went and had dinner with the team after the game."

On Sunday he was able to see a lot of the campus and the facilities. He was also able to talk to the academic counselor as well as the strength and nutrition staff.

"I got a chance to speak with the academic counselor today and found out about the school as a whole. I also met with the strength coaches and the nutritionist."

Brown's recruiting coach said that they haven't really narrowed down a specific linebacker spot that he is being recruited to play. They would just like to bring in Brown and have him compete to see where he could fit.

"Carl Pelini has been the coach that has been recruiting me. He thinks that I could play all three spots in Lincoln. He said that I just need to come in and compete. I liked that."

Brown wasn't comfortable rating the trip because it was his first trip. He said that the trip was fun and he had a good time. "The trip was fun. I wouldn't rate it. It was my first trip and I had a good time. Everything was solid about the weekend."

Brown has another trip coming up in two weeks. After that he knows that he will be taking some additional official visits, but he isn't sure to where and on which weekends quite yet.

"I have a visit set up to Arizona State on November 19th. I am not sure about any other visits after that. I will take some others."
