Gray will visit Nebraska

The Huskers have entered the race for Daniel Gray. Gray, a cornerback from Lauderdale Lakes (Flor.) Boyd H. Anderson High School, committed to Kansas back in May. However, new interest and offers have encouraged Gray to take a better look around to see if Kansas is still the right school for him or not. Who are the new schools Gray is considering?

Daniel Gray from Lauderdale Lakes (Flor.) Boyd H. Anderson High School is becoming a hot commodity. At 5-foot-11 and 175-pounds and sub-4.4 speed there is no doubt as to why. Gray just backed off of a Kansas commitment and is looking around.

"I have decommitted from Kansas," Gray said. "They are still a team that I am considering, but I am looking at other schools now."

One of the teams to recently offer Gray was Nebraska. While the timing might indicate the Huskers were the reason Gray decommitted from Kansas the fact of the matter is that he has been considering decommitting for a while now.

"I got an offer from Nebraska last Wednesday. I was already thinking about taking other trips when I got the offer from Nebraska.

"I have had a lot of other teams come in with offers and new interest. I need to make sure that I know Kansas is the school for me or not."

Gray has three visits set up over the next month. He is also considering Miami (Flor.) who have also offered him. His first visit will be this weekend with the next two coming at the end of November and the beginning of December.

"I am going to visit Nebraska the weekend of Thanksgiving for the Iowa game. I go to Texas Tech next weekend and I go to Tennessee on December 2nd."

Gray has helped his Anderson High School team to great record through their first nine games with a playoff birth coming up soon. "We are 8-1 right now. I have one interception and 24 solo tackles so far this season."
