Huskers secure visit

What a turn of events for this cornerback and Nebraska. It all happened today. This recruit decommitted from a school and Nebraska happened to be stopping by for a visit with him. Nebraska has re-entered this picture for this cornerback and will actually host him in a couple of weeks. What is he looking forward to?

A.J. Leggett didn't hear from Nebraska last week, but that changed early this week. Leggett, a standout cornerback from Miami (Flor.) South, said that the Huskers were by the school today and he spoke to the coach for a while on the phone this afternoon.

"Corey Raymond was here today," Leggett said. "Nebraska stopped by the school today and spoke to my coach. I called him back later in the day and we had a long talk.

"I spoke to him on the phone for a while this afternoon and he said that he felt like I could come up there and make an early impact in their program. He said that he really thinks I can come in and play early."

The timing of all of this activity with Leggett and Nebraska is coincidental. Legget had planned on taking a trip to Nebraska despite considering himself a Miami commitment. That changed today though, literally.

"I actually decommitted from Miami earlier today in fact. It just all worked out that way. I am looking forward to taking a trip there to meet and talk with the coaches more, hang out with the players and also get a feel for the campus and town."

The visit to Nebraska is set up. This is on the heels of Leggett taking his first official visit this past weekend and Leggett also knows where two other visits will be to.

"I will take my visit next week on December 16th to Nebraska. I just took a visit to Marshall this past weekend. I will also take trips to Florida State and Ohio State."

The Nebraska coach will be by to see Leggett again next week during the week of his official visit. He will be back, but he won't be back alone to see Legget.

"He said that he would be by again next week. He said that he and the head coach would be down to see me some time next week, but he wasn't sure which day."
