Checks out Texas Tech

Nebraska commitment Zaire Anderson is being looked at to be the heir apparent at the WILL linebacker position and try and fill some very big shoes in LaVonte David. Anderson was kicking around the idea of some other visits before he visited Nebraska and then said he wouldn't. That changed and he was at Texas Tech this weekend.

Zaire Anderson from Riverside (Calif.) College is a Nebraska commitment, but took a trip this past weekend. Taking some trips is something that Anderson had talked about doing.

"I took a trip to Texas Tech," Anderson said. "I am in Las Vegas now on a layover getting ready to go back to California. I took the trip because I just wasn't doing anything this weekend in California."

While Anderson sounds like he wasn't all that interested in Texas Tech going into the trip the comparison to Lincoln while he was in Lubbock didn't seem to improve anything either.

"It was O.K. It wasn't as good as Lincoln. Not even close. I just wanted to get out because I wasn't going to be doing anything. I spoke to the coaches at Nebraska about this trip.

"I am not going on any other trips. They O.K.'d this trip, but he was a little upset about it. I won't be taking any more trips. I am solid to Nebraska."
