Sesay talks about his decision

There wasn't a table with two hats on it for Mohammed Seisay to choose between, but there is always social media. Seisay said that he wanted to call the school where he would be going before publicly announcing: "I would like to say I WILL BE A BLACKSHIRT".

You know that you are outgunned to talk to Mohammed Seisay when he says, "Coach Bo Pelini is calling me. Can I call you back in five minutes?"

Seisay just got done committing to Nebraska minutes before and he was going to talk to his new head coach. The Huskers had a strong lead since October, but recent visits to Ole Miss and Arkansas had him thinking.

Seisay admits that the visits had him split up to the announcement between Nebraska and Arkansas. Seisay took the time to call back after talking to the head coach at Nebraska to talk about why he chose Nebraska.

"Nebraska has been on me since October," Seisay said. "They have been recruiting me hard ever since and I really respected that. Coach Corey Raymond and I talk just about everyday. It's not just about football either. We talk about life and what's going on.

"I also think Bo Pelini can help me the most to make it to the next level and play in the NFL someday. I am a Husker. I wanted to be a Blackshirt."

Seisay also mentioned that something key happened early in the contact period. Nebraska took the time the first week, as one of the first in-home visits for Bo Pelini, to take the time to stop by and meet with his family.

"It meant a lot to my parents for the coaches to do that. My parents had to meet the people that were going to be taking care of me for the next two years. Bo just has this strong presence in the room. They really liked him a lot."
