Aaron Curry, a standout defensive tackle from Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge, recently started getting some late interest from Nebraska after the Huskers picked up a new assistant coach from a school where he'd already visited.
"Nebraska has picked up their interest in me lately," Curry said. "Coach Tim Beck has been recruiting me. He said that he was circling back around and evaluating players again in Texas.
Curry said that he is really excited about getting a chance to take a look at Nebraska a little more closely on the official visit. He does figure that there will be some change in climate from Dallas to Lincoln.
"I am looking at the school, the academics, I want to get a feel for the coaches and I want to get to know some of the players too. I figure that it will be colder there than here."
Curry is one of those guys that you kind of peg as a defensive tackle (three technique) at the next level. Then again, he's very quick for a man his size so moving outside occasionally isn't out of the question and it is something that Curry has been asked to do before.
"A lot of coaches that have been recruiting me like how I get off on the ball quickly. I have moved from the one-technique all the way out to a five technique and standing up because I was so quick. I can clog up the middle or penetrate to get to the quarterback."
