"I got out to Nebraska on Friday," Meyers said. "I got there pretty late on Friday. I got in about 5:00 or so that night and I just had dinner and hung out with the players that night.
"I saw the whole campus on Saturday and I spoke to a lot of professors and spoke to all of the coaches. I also got a chance to hang out with the players later that day."
Meyers said that he really spent the most time with the defensive staff and the coach that is recruiting him. He said that he was very impressed with the football facilities at Nebraska.
"I really spent a lot of time with Coach Bo Pelini, Coach Corey Raymond and Coach Vince Marrow. They have great facilities at Nebraska."
Nebraska likes Meyers to potentially play one of two positions in the secondary. Like most of the other secondary recruits this season there is the strong lure of early playing time to consider.
"Nebraska likes me as either a cornerback or a safety. They also told me that I could play early."
An offer from Nebraska could be in the mail soon, but there is some verification that has to happen. This might be delayed too with the holiday on Monday. "We talked about an offer. They said they would offer me once they had a chance to look at my transcripts."
Meyers took a trip to Toledo in early December and committed a short time after that. He did admit though that an offer from Nebraska could throw a wrench into things.
"I am firm to Toledo and I am not going to think about it unless Nebraska does offer. If they do offer it could change my mind."
The visit overall was good for Meyers, but he did say that Nebraska is a long ways from home. "It was about a "9". I had a good time. I wish it wasn't so far away."
Meyers will see another Big Ten school next week and could visit a third by the end of the month. The last visit though isn't set and he didn't sound like he was convinced he was going to take it.
