Goodman gives green light

Late last night, Evan Goodman from Lakeland (Flor.) told Big Red Report that Nebraska wanted to bring their entire offensive staff to see him this Friday. It was an act that Goodman said was flattering, but he was going to talk to his coach and make the call to get Nebraska to cancel their visit. Has he changed his mind?

Evan Goodman verbally committed to Arizona State back in August, but wanted to take a few visits to make sure that he made the right decision. Goodman ended up taking trips to see Notre Dame, Nebraska and Florida State the first three weekends in September.

After the visits, Goodman shored up his commitment to Arizona State where his twin brother is already and is a redshirt freshman offensive lineman. Goodman told BigRedReport.com last night that despite the changes in the coaching staff that he was still set to sign with Arizona State on Wednesday.

Goodman did tell BigRedReport.com that Nebraska was trying to enter the picture late though for him and were going to send their entire offensive staff out to see him this Friday. It was a move that Goodman wasn't interested in them making and he was planning on canceling. He's changed his mind though and will allow Nebraska to visit him.

"They are still coming this Friday," Goodman said in a text message this morning to BigRedReport.com.

Goodman is rated a four-star recruit by Scout.com and is rated the #16 offensive tackle in the nation. Goodman chose Arizona State over offers from Notre Dame, Nebraska, Florida State, Auburn, Clemson, Miami and South Florida among others.
