"The whole two years I have been committed to Nebraska has just been really exciting and I have been waiting to make it official," said Rose on Big Red Report's partner radio station 93.7 The Ticket. "Thank yous go out tomorrow to everyone who has supported me.
"The program sells itself with the history and tradition. My dad has been a Nebraska fan most of his life...I'm just very honored and excited to be part of Nebraska and the tradition."
As Nebraska waits for a number of prospects to announce tomorrow, Rose isn't sharing the panic mode traits some Husker fans have displayed over the last couple of days.
"I think it will be a very good day, even if we don't get the guys that we all think we should get. It's a good class," said Rose. "We don't have the flash, we don't have the top five or four star guys, but the way I'm looking at it is, if the coaching staff offered guys a scholarship, they can play. I trust Coach Bo that he's bringing in the right guys."
Examining the class, Rose feels the additions in 2012 compliment the two previous recruiting years for the Huskers.
"I truly believe, in two to three years, Nebraska will be in a position to win a National Championship," said Rose. "Right now we have some needs and I believe we are addressing them. We have play-makers from last year's class.
"I think that next we really push for the Big Ten Championship and the year after that, I don't want to say this in a cocky way, but how many National Championships are we going to win? That is my mentality."
