Lemke ready to be starter again

Junior Nebraska pitcher Tom Lemke is ready to be a starter again. After going 2-0 in 10 appearances last year, the former MLB pick battled bloods clots in the summer and had to have surgery. The Huskers have brought him along slowly, but it appears he's ready to go.

Nebraska pitcher Tom Lemke will start Saturday for the Huskers in game two against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The junior, who battled blood clots over the summer, threw out of the bullpen last weekend, giving up two runs over two innings.

"We will start that process of getting him in the routine to start," said Erstad. "We are not going to throw him very long, but I want him to get into the routine of warming up as a starter."
