Hannon picks up Husker offer Monday

Zach Hannon has picked up a Husker offer. Come inside for all the details.

Eight hours after Big Red Report ran a story on Rockhurst high school (MO) offensive line Zach Hannon, the junior has received an offer from Nebraska.

"I'm definitely pumped up about it," said the junior who was teammates with Nebraska signee Michael Rose in 2011. "My aunt was actually a medical doctor in Wahoo, Nebraska but recently moved to Moberly, Missouri after being transferred. "She was the one that actually got me interested in Nebraska.

"I know they have a good tradition with offensive lineman and that is where I want to be. A place that sets things up for their offensive lineman to be the best they can be."

The 6-foot-4, 292 pound lineman has offers from Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, and Missouri besides his newest one today.

"I expect Mike to be in my ear a lot," said Hannon, who will be coming to the Nebraska spring game with the Husker signee. "We have a good relationship. We are pretty cool. Nebraska is also recruiting another one of my friends Tony Lashley (linebacker). It would be cool playing with both of them."

Hannon is being recruited by Nebraska's John Garrison.
