Top Linemen Plans to Visit Nebraska

Nebraska has made an emphasis to recruit out east the last two recruiting seasons, and are back there again for this offensive lineman.

How good is offensive guard John Montelus (Everett HS)? Well, for starters, he is a very decorated underclassmen.

"I got a lot of awards that I can't even remember," stated Montelus when asked about his honors so far.

It's always nice seeing someone as talented as Montelus being sought after by the Huskers, but Nebraska will have a lot of competition when it comes to landing the All-Boston Herald and All-Boston Globe honoree. His offers are already in the double-digits, ranging from the University of Florida to Boston College.

"I'll probably have a top seven by the end of the summer," announced Montelus.

As for Nebraska, though, the 6-foot-5, 295 pound guard was "happy with the [Nebraska] offer because it's a big opportunity."

"I've talked to Coach Rich (Fisher) and I know that it's a spot that can produce offensive linemen, just like other schools like Michigan," stated Montelus, who has received Big Ten offers from the Wolverines, Ohio State and Nebraska.

With all the offers, Montelus is a very busy, and is unsure of how he will fit visits to every school into his schedule, but he definitely will be visiting Nebraska at some point.

"Of course," exclaimed Montelus when asked if he plans on visiting Lincoln. "If I can't do it over summer I'm definitely going to take an official visit next year."
