Comments - Derek DiSalvo joins Bishop Chatard teammate Ryan Baker as one of the top prospects in the Midwest for the 2003 season
DiSalvo is coming off an impressive junior season in which he had 146 tackles, 26 of those tackles were for loss. He also had eight sacks, three interceptions and blocked three punts.
"Indiana is my only scholarship offer right now," said DiSalvo.
"My favorites are Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, Nebraska, Indiana and Purdue.
"I went to Illinois yesterday (6/16) and I'm going to be at Michigan with Ryan (Baker) today and tomorrow (6/17-6/18).
"I'll be at Northwestern on June 24th and I plan on getting to Nebraska and Purdue sometime this summer as well."
Derek DiSalvo made it very clear that he's completely open right now and he's listening to all the schools that are interested in him.
Derek DiSalvo and Ryan Baker are two of the Midwest prospects that I'll get to see in person this season. I'll be traveling to Cincinnati to watch Bishop Chatard take on Ohio powerhouse, Cincinnati Elder.
