Huskers targets GA DE

Nebraska has always recruited nationwide, but the addition of new coach Terry Joseph means the Huskers are stronger in a few states - including Georgia.

Alpharetta HS (GA) defensive end Naim Mustafaa acn add another offer to his ever growing list.

On Wednesday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers jumped into the mix.

"They offered last night," said the junior. "It was great to get it. I'm going to try to get up there soon."

A Terry Joseph recruit, the nation's No. 19 defensive end (4-stars) currently has offers from Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

In 2011, Mustafaa recorded 50 tackles, 15 for loss, with eight sacks. He is the son of former Minnesota Viking and Cleveland Brown cornerback Najee Mustafaa.

"Basically it will boil down to who has the best combination of academics, coaches that I feel that I like the best and have my best interests in minds, and the fan support," Mustafaa told GoJackets.com.

At this point, there is no timetable for a decision.

"When I feel that the right school is there, that is when I will make my decision," said Mustafaa "It could be early or close to signing day it all depends on when that feeling hits."
