Gartner making camp plans

One of the top players in the state of Nebraska will be hitting the road this summer, like last summer, to do some camps. No schools or plans are set at the moment for Dillon Gartner, but a couple of schools are moving their way to the top. Who are those two schools?

Dillon Gartner knows that he will be active this summer hitting camps and seeing some schools. He just isn't sure which schools he will see yet. That might be coming clearer after a message over Facebook.

"Coach Phil Ockinga from Florida International contacted me," Gartner said. "He said that the whole coaching staff is interested in seeing me at their camp this year.

"They are a program on the rise. They made a bowl game the past two years. They also offered Mike Shoff last year. Coach Ockinga said that they are always interested in lineman from Nebraska."

Gartner included that Coach Ockinga was from Hastings, Nebr. originally and that he wasn't sure when he was going to get to FIU for camp. There is another reason why he wants to get down there though because it's close to another school that has been picking up interest in him.

"We are definitely going to try to get it (FIU) in because I want to see Miami too. Miami has been sending me some things too telling me that they would like to see me at their camp as well."

Gartner has recently told BigRedReport.com that he was excited for his new beginning at Giltner (Nebr.) next season. Gartner will be transferring from Gothenburg (Nebr.) at the end of the season.
