Roster construction taking place

Husker fans can mark off Keith Coleman, Jerran Young, and Josiah Moore on their basketball rosters for next season.

According to a school release, Keith Coleman is not the only 2012 signee who will not be playing for the Nebraska Cornhuskers next season.

Junior college forward Jerran Young, who signed with Nebraska during the early signing period, will be finding a new home. The McLennan product had reported offers from Oklahoma State, Oregon, and Wichita State before picking Nebraska.

Also leaving the team will be freshman guard Josiah Moore. Big Red Report has learned from a source the Georgia native will look to transfer closer to home. In 15 games this season, he averaged 1.9 points and 0.5 rebounds a game.

"With a new regime, those guys only have a two-year career left," new Nebraska head coach Tim Miles told the Omaha World Herald regarding Coleman and Young. "They want to make sure it's right.

"Other coaches have been watching them all year."

Nebraska now has 11 scholarship players for the 2012-13 season.
