Gow excited to see Husker nation

Mansfield high school tight end Trent Gow is still looking for his first offer, as the junior heads to Lincoln next Saturday for the spring game.

Mansfield high school (TX) 2013 tight end Trent Gow has been to seen his fair share of campuses. He's already been to Texas, Oklahoma State, North Texas and Tulsa. A week from this Saturday, he will hit Lincoln to watch the Huskers' annual Red-White Spring Game.

"I'm looking forward to meeting the Husker nation," said Gow. "I've heard that Nebraska games are crazy and that the fans are great. I'm very excited to experience a game day in Lincoln."

The 6-foot-3, 235 pounder was named 1st-team All-District last year, recording over 10 yards a catch.

While he waits for his first offer, many schools are showing interest, including the ones he visited plus: TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Michigan State, California, South Florida and Connecticut.

"Right now, I'm just trying to keep my options open," Gow told LonghornDigest.com earlier in the week. "Texas is my No. 1, but if I don't get an offer from them, I don't want to get stuck because I'm not talking to other schools too.

"I'm trying to find a place where I would fit in. Probably Tulsa would be my No. 2 if I got an offer from them at this point. But I really don't know."
