Nebraska in top three

While Nebraska did suffer a rain out this weekend of their spring game there was good news around from all of the recruits that this weekend was a success. The hits keep on coming with a recent announcement of a highly touted defensive end from Texas. Nebraska makes the cut and he talks about taking another trip to Lincoln.

There is a lot of optimism about Nebraska's recruiting class this year despite only having three known verbal commitments. Nebraska is in a very good position with players such as A.J. Natter, Aaron Bailey, Joe Mathis and Elijah Qualls among others. Christian Lacouture is another name Husker fans should feel good about.

In an interview on April 14, 2012 with GoBlueWolveriene, the Michigan site on, Lacouture laid out his top three after a recent visit to Ann Arbor.

"I'm down to a top three now: LSU, Nebraska and Michigan. I really, really like Nebraska as well. I went to visit them a couple of weeks ago, I love what they're doing."

Lacouture has already visited Nebraska, after going up in early March, and in an article then with BigRedReport and again yesterday with GoBlueWolverine another trip is definitely in the works for Nebraska. A decision could come shortly after another visit or two.

"I've visited Nebraska already. And you know I plan on visiting Michigan again, and I'll probably, I'm going to go visit Nebraska one more time. And then after that I'm going to make my decision by then."

Lacouture is the 20th rated defensive tackle in the nation according to and is a rated as a four-star recruit.
