Gow stops by NU on his tour

Mansfield high school (TX) 2013 tight end Trent Gow visited Nebraska over the weekend.

Mansfield high school (TX) 2013 tight end Trent Gow has seen many campuses over the last few months, so it was interesting to hear what he would have to say after visiting Nebraska over the weekend.

"I thought everything was really nice and top notch. The players lounge is really cool and I thought the campus is really nice as well. We walked around for a half-an-hour or so, when the game got canceled," said Gow, who has also been to Texas, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and North Texas.

"We sat in the players cafeteria for over an hour while we waited to see what was going to happen. While I was in there I talked with the recruiting coordinator, one of the GAs, and the offensive line coach.

"Coach Beck is going to come in the spring and wants to see me practice. They said they are looking at a lot of other players at the position, so they are sort of being picky. They want to see me practice before they get any more real serious."

Gow is waiting on his first offer, but has plenty of schools showing interest. Among the schools he's already visited, programs like TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Michigan State, California, South Florida, and Connecticut have all expressed interest in some way.

"I would probably say if I had a top three it would be Texas, Tulsa, and Nebraska, in no particular order," said Gow. "We start spring ball in a couple weeks, so I probably won't visit anywhere again until after. I'm probably going to go to Tulsa's camp and also to Texas. I also want to go to the Iowa State and Nebraska camp."

Big Red Report will check in with Gow in a couple weeks.
