Chicago RB Likes Nebraska

The Chicago Public League is known for its production of basketball talent but in 2003 several talented football prospects could sign letters in February. Kenwood Academy running back Earnest Streeter says he received a call from the Nebraska coaching staff.

Earnest Streeter, a 5-foot-10, 187-pound, running back from Chicago (Kenwood Academy) is a prospect that's just beginning to get some attention from college recruiters.

Streeter had 1,087 yards rushing on just 85 attempts in 2002. He scored nine touchdowns on the season and was named all-conference.

I don't have any offers yet," said Streeter.

"Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Ball State called me in May.

"My favorites are Nebraska, Notre Dame, Iowa, Purdue and Oregon."

Streeter will be a two-year varsity starter in 2003. He was the conference most valuable player as a junior.
