Still committed?

Recently there have been some rumblings that 2013 Nebraska basketball commitment I.J. Ready has decommitted from Nebraska. Considering the recent head coaching change in Lincoln it wouldn't be a surprise if this were true. What did I.J. Ready have to say about these rumors?

So what is the story with I.J. Ready? The 2013 Nebraska basketball commitment from Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview says that nothing has changed with his commitment from his end.

"No, I haven't decommitted," Ready said. "I am still committed to Nebraska. I haven't spoken to anyone from Nebraska since the head coaching change, but I am going to do that soon."

The fact that Ready hasn't spoken with the new coaching staff at Nebraska is alarming and might raise some red flags. Ready says that he will talk to Nebraska early next week.

?"I have a tournament this weekend through Sunday and I think that I am going to head to Lincoln," said Ready. "I think that I will be there either on Monday or on Tuesday and I will stop in to talk to the coaches."

Ready committed to Nebraska last September after visiting the previous September. Ready said that at the time he liked the facilities at Nebraska and knew that Nebraska was going to be upgrading the basketball facilities.

"I was also up in Lincoln last September and I had a chance to stop in and see their facilities. They were already pretty nice, but I know that they are getting ready to do some renovations."

Ready committed to Nebraska over an offer from Texas A&M and he said that he was receiving interest from Arkansas at the time of his commitment.
