Mustafaa will still visit Nebraska

The class that Nebraska is putting together on the defensive side of the ball is impressive. Six commits in the class and all six are projected to be defensive recruits. Nebraska is looking for a lot of help at defensive end and even with two defensive ends in there is still a push for more.

Nebraska debuted at No. 17 in the current recruiting team rankings and with six in the class, all on defense, the class that the Husker staff is putting together should be very solid. Nebraska is still in hot pursuit of some of the nation's top defensive prospects.

Naim Mustafaa is a name that's been on Nebraska's recruiting radar the past few months. The standout defensive end from Alpharetta (Ga.) says that the evaluation period has led to a few new offers and it's more or less a sign of things to come.

"It's going pretty good," Mustafaa said. "I have added a couple of offers so far this year. It's been pretty good overall.

"This is just the first part of recruiting and I know that there are going to be a lot of teams and people calling me later. I'll handle it as it comes."

Mustafaa has gotten out to make a recent trip. He says that another is coming soon for the other in-state school. After that he will be taking a lot of flights all over the nation to see a lot of different campuses.

"I went to Georgia Tech a couple of weeks ago. I am going to go to Georgia soon. After that I am going to take a lot of trips all over the place to see schools. I am going everywhere this summer.

"I am going to schedule trips to see Oklahoma State, Florida, USC and Nebraska. I was supposed to go up for their spring game in Lincoln. I am going to see North Carolina too."

While Mustafaa will be getting out to see a lot of schools this summer there is a top four list that he is going by now. He says that the list is subject to change based on what he finds and sees on his trips this summer.

"I would say that my top schools right now are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Auburn. I am not in a hurry to make a decision that's why I am going to make all of these trips. And my list could change tomorrow."

Mustafaa was supposed to visit Nebraska this past month for their spring game, but he was unable to make it in. He says that he and his recruiting coach are in consistent contact and that they need to talk about another date to make the trip.

"I am not sure when I will be able to visit Nebraska. Me and Coach Terry Joseph are going to talk some more about when I should make the trip. Coach Joseph was just here a few days ago. I stay in touch with him a lot."
