Claiborne will see Lincoln

"Big Red Weekend" was something new for Nebraska to try. There was always the junior day, the spring game and then summer camp, but there was definitely a need once school was out to just get players to come to or back to Lincoln to check things out. Nebraska seems to have this standout from Port Allen (La.) set to visit.

The evaluation period is a little hectic for Darian Claiborne. Claiborne, a four-star linebacker from Port Allen (La.), says that the evaluation period is a little hectic. Claiborne is holding offers from teams all over the country, but currently has a top three of TCU, Texas A&M and Nebraska.

"It's going good," Claiborne said. "It's definitely a little crazy. There is a lot of traffic up there at the school with college coaches. I am usually in class and my coach comes and gets me because a coach wants to see me. There might be four or five coaches there to see me."

School is winding down and Claiborne has at least two trips on his mind for the summer. Claiborne knows that he will be doing a camp and then he will be heading north for a junior day.

"We have one full week of school and then just a half-week. I am planning on going to Alabama's camp and a few others. I would just go to a couple of other schools, workout a little bit and look around.

"I am going to Nebraska on June 16th. They have a day up there, I don't know what it's called, but I am going to be there. Coach Terry Joseph and I have been talking a lot, but I also talk to Coach Ross Els and all of them really."
