Gow gets Monday visit

After visiting Nebraska in April, tight end Trent Gow has received multiple visits from Nebraska in May.

After visiting Nebraska during the Red-White Game weekend, Mansfield high school (TX) 2013 tight end Trent Gow received a visit from the Husker's Tim Beck two weeks ago and Barney Cotton on Monday.

"Beck said he likes how aggressive I am on the field and he said that he liked me a lot," said Gow. "We talked about how the spring game didn't work out and how their spring ball went."

So far, schools like Ole Miss, Arkansas, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas, Nevada, TCU, and Tulsa have come by to see Gow - while more schools evaluating other Mansfield prospects got a chance to see the tight end prospect as well.

"They (Nebraska) want me to camp, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to," said Gow. "I'm going to Tulsa on June 2nd and Iowa State on June 3rd then Texas and LSU.

"LSU tight end coach Steve Ensminger called me last night (May 11th) and he really likes my tape. We had a great talk. He's coming to my practice this week."

The 6-foot-3, 235 pounder was named 1st-team All-District last year, recording over 10 yards a catch.
