Hart says he's N!

It was just this past weekend that Kettering (Ohio) Archbishop Alter tight end Greg Hart was at Nebraska. The visit went great and according to him exceeding any expectations that he had of Nebraska. He wanted to decide before his senior year, well, he did that tonight by choosing the Huskers.

Nebraska fans had been waiting for that first offensive commitment in the 2013 football recruiting class. Tight end Greg Hart from Kettering (Ohio) Archbishop Alter says today was the day after visiting Lincoln this weekend.

"Yes sir," Hart said. "I am the newest Nebraska commitment. The people there, the coaching staff, and the opportunity there was the best. I saw myself excelling there.

"The minute that I left Coach Bo Pelini's office with my dad, after talking for about an hour, I told my dad that I was ready and that was the guy that I wanted to play football for."

Hart is being recruited to play the H-Back spot at Nebraska and the Nebraska staff let Hart in on a little secret. They would like to bring another type of player in with him to play the same position.

"They are going to play me at the H-Back and tight end positions and they want a junior college guy in the class hopefully. They really see me as a guy coming in and stretch the field kind of like Kyler Reed."

This past weekend Hart was in Lincoln for a visit and while he just saw it he says that he wants to see it again. Hart wants to take a couple of other family members along with him this time so they can see it.

"Yeah, I want to take my mom there and take my sister to see it. My sister is a junior at Ohio State and I want her to see where I am going. I want to see it again before the season.

"I am not sure how things are going to work out between her and me. She's a huge Ohio State fan so hopefully she comes to Nebraska for grad school or at least consider it."

Hart knows about the commits already in the class for Nebraska and he knows that he is the first one on the offensive side of the football. Hart says that he plans on working on the recruiting trail to encourage some other players to join him.

"I think that I am commitment No. 7 and the first offensive guy in the class. I think that I am blessed and fortunate. I see it as a big opportunity and I hope that I can help recruit some other guys to get on board with me. It's an awesome feeling."
