Razorbacks offer Florida QB

Arkansas became the first school out of the Southeastern Conference to offer Tyler Cogswell on Friday and he is excited about.

"Coach Petrino was at my practice on Monday to watch me and he offered me on the phone when we talked Friday," Tyler Cogswell told Scout. "He talked to me for a little bit and then he told me I had an offer. It happened pretty fast. He told me I impressed him a lot at practice."

Cogswell has already spent time on the UA campus and he has interest in the Razorbacks.

"I went over there for one of their Junior Days and I liked it a lot. Arkansas is a very good school, they have a great football program, their academics are good, and I like their campus and facilities.

"I do not have a top school or top list right now, but if I did, Arkansas would be high. I have a lot of interest in them."

Not only does the 6-foot-5, 235 pound signal caller out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage like Arkansas as a school, he likes the competition they play too.

"They play in the SEC and that is a great conference," Cogswell told Scout. "It is a blessing to get an offer from any school in the SEC. A lot of great teams play in the SEC."

Cogswell is one of the top quarterbacks in Florida and he now has six offers. When asked who could be next to offer, he said, "Tennessee or Wisconsin."

He is keeping his options open right now.
