Gladney to visit Nebraska

Nebraska is doing an amazing job in the state of Ohio when it comes to recruiting and they are trying to get more. The Nebraska staff has a lot of ties to the state of Ohio and they have been using them a lot this year. Coach Vince Marrow has been recruiting Kevin Gladney and he's got the standout receiver visiting Nebraska next month.

Nebraska has Big Red Weekend on June 16th, but Kevin Gladney is coming in before that recruiting weekend. Gladney says that he will be in Lincoln about a week before in fact.

"I am going to visit Nebraska on June 11th," Gladney said. "I am just going for an unofficial visit and not for camp."

Gladney says that he wants to take a close look at Nebraska. He wants to have a chance to sit down with the coaching staff and really get to know them. He also wants to take a look around the campus and see the facilities.

"I want to get to meet the coaches and really talk to them. I also want to see their facilities, the campus and also academics." Gladney knows about the recruits from the state of Ohio that are committing to Nebraska and who are also considering Nebraska. He says that when players from the same area and state are going to a school that it would potentially benefit him if he went there too.

"Yes that helps out a lot. There are people that you don't necessarily know, but they are just minutes away from you live.

"Courtney Love lives just down the expressway from me really. I don't know him a lot, but it would help us become friends and when we had to come home we could get back together."

Gladney has met one of the Ohio kids that is committed to Nebraska. He says that he will have a chance to meet another when he's in Lincoln because one of the commitments from Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney will also be there.

"I have met Greg Hart before. He's from Dayton, I think. I don't know love and Marcus McWilson, but I know that Courtney is going to be in Lincoln the weekend of June 11th too."
