Nebraska fans had been wondering when there would be an offensive commitment. They had to wait until commitment No. 7 when Greg Hart jumped in the class a week or so ago. Now Nebraska fans might begin to wonder when the next defensive commit could fall after Nebraska gets their second offensive commitment of the class and their eighth overall.
The Nebraska staff is on a roll. They have received three commitments in the past two and a half weeks and have landed six since April 12. The latest is Dan Samuelson, a 6-foot-5 and 280-pound offensive tackle from Plymouth (Ind.) who was committed to Pittsburgh initially.
BigRedReport received information Monday morning that Samuelson was in Lincoln this past weekend for a visit. There was also a possibility that Samuelson was changing his commitment from Pitt to Nebraska if he hadn't already. Dan's father, Tom Samuelson, told BigRedReport in a text message that the news was true about his son changing his commitment.
"Yes it is," Tom Samuelson said. "I will get him to call you tonight after practice."
Samuelson is commitment No. 8 for Nebraska. Samuelson is a three-star recruit and is rated as the No. 54 offensive tackle in the nation.
