In-State Intro: Matthew Dietz

Another Dietz is at North Star and this 2014 prospect says he wants his recruitment to be bigger than his brother's.

North Star offensive lineman Mathew Dietz understand the recruiting process. The 2014 prospect watched his brother Bryce go through the motions, eventually committing to Ohio.

Now Mathew is starting to get attention and has one goal on his mind.

"I'm definitely excited for it and want to see what happens. I want to beat my brother," said a laughing Dietz. "I have been getting some info from schools like Nebraska, Tennessee, Michigan, South Carolina, Kansas State in the mail. Also my brother says Ohio is asking a lot about me, but I haven't gotten any mail from them yet."

Dietz is currently 6-foot-3 and nearly 295 pounds. He says his footwork and foot speed are the top areas of his game he is working on as of now.

"This is more for my parents, but I'm looking at location and the school tradition," said the 2014 prospect. "A nice weight room would be cool as well. I love the weights.

"It would be my dream to go to Nebraska, it was my brothers as well, but sometimes your dreams don't work out. It's why I'm working hard every day to make it a reality."

Dietz will be trying to make the camp circuit this summer, but is unsure which camps he will be attending at the moment.

"I want to go to as many as possible, I definitely have gotten invited to a lot of them," said the sophomore.
