Quick Hitter: Gow gets first offer

The wait is over for Mansfield tight end Trent Gow.

The wait is over for Mansfield high school (TX) tight end Trent Gow. The nation's No. 58 tight end picked up his first offer on Wednesday night.

"Hey man, I just wanted you to know that I picked up an offer from Air Force," said Gow in a text message to Big Red Report. "It's great especially knowing that it's a place like the Air Force Academy. That's a great place with an awesome tradition and program."

Gow has seen plenty of schools stop by this spring, so this could be just the start.

So far, schools like Ole Miss, Arkansas, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas, Nevada, TCU, and Tulsa have come by to see Gow - while more schools evaluating other Mansfield prospects got a chance to see the tight end prospect as well.

"They (Nebraska) want me to camp, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to," said Gow. "I'm going to Tulsa on June 2nd and Iowa State on June 3rd then Texas and LSU."
