After committing over the weekend, Florida transfer Walter Pitchford to Nebraska is official, the university released a statement early Tuesday evening.
"We are thrilled to add Walter to our program, as he has a tremendous upside," Nebraska head coach Tim Miles said. "I like his attitude. He is about getting better and helping our program win. Walter is a young man who has next level athleticism, and we look forward to helping him develop that and helping him become the player he wants to be."
A true freshman at the University of Florida last season, Pitchford averaged 1.7 points in 13 contests in Gainesville.
