Sayles gets first two D-1 offers

After already holding an offer from South Dakota State, Omaha North tight end Casey Sayles has added his first two Division I offers.

Not even a week after impressing the Nebraska coaching staff at the Huskers' summer camp, Omaha North tight end Casey Sayles was at it again. This time in Columbus for the Buckeyes camp.

"We were a couple drills in and one of the Ohio coaches pulled me over and asked if I had any Division I offers," said Sayles. "I told him 'no' and he said 'you do know.' I just thought wow."

But Ohio wasn't the only school to put a scholarship on the table for Sayles on Sunday.

"A couple drills later, I got another offer, this time from Bowling Green during lunch," said Sayles. "I'm pretty familiar with Ohio. I know some guys who go there."

At 6-foot-4, 258 pounds, Sayles seems to be on the verge of blowing up. Besides his two Division I offers and South Dakota State (1-AA offer), schools like Northern Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska have taken notice.

"Coach Marrow was talking about how he really liked me as a tight end and he said that pretty much he wanted to offer me. He said there was three spots and that one guy was already committed and they were waiting on a junior college guy. So he said that they would talk and let me know a little later," Sayles told Big Red Report last week. "I would have to talk to my parents and family about it, but I would probably accept an offer pretty soon after getting it."
