Offensive linemen Zach Hannon (Rockhurst HS) is becoming a familiar face down in Lincoln.
Visiting the state for a third time during Big Red Weekend, Hannon has developed a sense of ease around the Nebraska facilities.
"This was my third going down there so I pretty much had seen everything. But what stuck out most was how comfortable I felt this time around," explained the 6-foot-4, 292-pound lineman. "It was great. I felt a lot more comfortable walking away from the school than when I walked in."
The weekend, which hosted around 20 prospects, left a major mark on the Kansas City native. In fact, it earned quite the praise from Hannon.
"It was a 10 to be honest. It was everything I was looking for," added Hannon. "Nebraska definitely moved up on my list, not that they were that far down to begin with, but I mean they're definitely up there and I feel a lot more comfortable especially with the kids in my own class."
Aside from the marvelous training facilities and the grand sight that is Memorial Stadium, the thing that struck him the most was a discussion he had with head coach Bo Pelini.
"My family and I were able to sit down with Coach Pelini for about 20 minutes. He just talked about where he sees me fitting into the Nebraska-style offense and the Nebraska way of life," stated Hannon. "We talked to every coach but that was just one that stuck out the most."
As it stands now, Nebraska is among his top four schools along with Arkansas, Kansas State and Missouri. He plans to visit Kansas State next week in addition to attending a Northwestern camp later in the month.
