Quick Hitter: Banderas gets Army nod

Nebraska commitment Josh Banderas received some major news over the weekend.

According to multiple reports and social media messages, Lincoln Southwest linebacker and Husker commitment Josh Banderas has been selected to play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American game in San Antonio.

Banderas, currently the No. 28 outside linebacker in the country, will play in an all-star game type setting on January 5th in the Alamo Dome.

The son of former Husker Tom Banderas, the 6-foot-2, 215 pounder made the Lincoln Journal Star's 1st team All-Super State in 2011, as Lincoln Southwest finished 9-2 in Class A on the year. Banderas had over 100 tackles on the season with three interceptions.
