"I just got done with track about a week ago," Allen said. "I started up with football this week, practice in the morning, and then just hanging out."
Allen had a great track season. He set some high goals for himself and he accomplished those including two state records and trimming time on a couple of other events.
"My track season went well; I accomplished my goals. I broke state records in both hurdle races. I ran good 100m and 200m times this year, 10.49 and 20.75, and I was really happy with my season.
"I am just going to keep training and trying to improve. Of course I would like to get faster and drop my times and just go from there."
Camps aren't something that Allen is planning on doing a lot this summer, however there is a visit coming up. His first will come later next month and then he's looking at another three schools for possible trips too.
"I don't really do any camps. I did a few camps through the winter. I am taking a visit up to Stanford on July 23rd.
"I will be visiting Arizona State soon and my dad is working on setting up trips to Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan before the summer is over. There is nothing set with those other schools like Stanford though. We are still working on it."
While Allen is trying to figure out his summer visit schedule he hasn't really thought a lot about his official visits this fall. He did include that it wasn't likely he would take an official visit to a school that he visits unofficially.
"Not really. I kind of have an idea on one or two schools. I am really wide open to what I might need to do. I probably won't take an official visit to a school where I visit for an unofficial because I won't need to."
One school that could get a visit is Nebraska. There has been some talk among a small group of recruits from Arizona, including Allen, that are trying to pick out a weekend to see Nebraska together.
"I think that Kenny Lacy and Priest Willis are talking about visiting Nebraska on an unofficial visit during the season, but I am not really sure what their plans are. I would go with them on that visit if Nebraska is a school that I am still considering."
