Kincade changes announcement date

The announcement date for Devante Kincade has caught some off-guard. The standout quarterback from Dallas (Texas) Skyline is considering six teams going into his announcement, but hasn't visited all six schools. Why the change in announcement dates and does a team like Nebraska have a chance in landing Kincade although he hasn't visited?

Devante Kincade and his team aren't hiding from the Texas heat. In fact they are embracing it deciding to hit the field for workouts during some of the peak temperature time of the day.

"We are out there when it's hot," Kincade said. "My team practices from 4-7 every day out in the heat. We don't move our practices because of the weather."

The standout quarterback from Dallas (Texas) Skyline had set his announcement date for early next week, but that is changing. Kincade says that he will make a decision before the weekend and go public with it tomorrow.

"I was going to announce on either Monday or Tuesday next week. I am going to announce on Friday (tomorrow) now. I was going to do it around the Elite 11, but I don't want it to interfere now."

Fans of Nebraska wonder if there is a chance at Kincade at all. The talented prospect would be an ideal fit for the style of offense that Nebraska wants to run, but he hasn't visited Lincoln.

"No, it's not an issue that I haven't visited Nebraska. I talk to their coaches all the time and I am comfortable with them. I have also talked to Cedric Collins who visited Nebraska and I have an idea what it's like there."

There is going to be one very happy team tomorrow and at least five disappointed one when Kincade goes public. The signal-caller previously reported he was considering Texas Tech, but failed to mention them with his recent list of favorites.

"I am looking at six teams. I will choose between Kansas State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oregon State and Notre Dame."
